Jackson Hole Rock & Roll Camp

Registration Information

July 13-17, 2009 (Monday through Friday), at Colter Elementary School, in Jackson, Wyoming

Rock & Roll Camp is open to adult and youth students who will begin classes as at least sixth-graders in the fall semester of 2009.  Participants must have at least one year of experience on their instrument (or have permission from the Rock & Roll Camp headmasters), and they must be prepared to bring their own instrument to camp (exceptions to this rule may apply to overnight campers).  Secure overnight storage for instruments and equipment will be provided, if necessary.

Admission is rolling, meaning that we will accept students as they apply.  We expect total enrollment to be around 70, and we will make sure that we have appropriate proportions of each instrument.  The program is open to drummers, bassists, guitarists, keyboardists, vocalists, and “others” (horns, etc).  If you play one of the “other” instruments, please contact us prior to registration, so that we can insure proper placement within the program.

Jackson Hole Rock & Roll Camp takes place at Colter Elementary School.  It is a modern, well-equipped facility, and it happens to be in a beautiful setting.  We could not have designed a better place for this program!

Students can attend Rock & Roll Camp as YOUTH DAY CAMPERS, OVERNIGHT CAMPERS, ROOKIES, or ADULTS.  Everyone will take part in all of the daytime activities, but overnight campers will enjoy more programming during the evening hours.  Additionally, overnight camp tuition includes all meals and on-campus accommodations (there is more information about overnight camp later in the REGISTRATION DETAILS page).

Monday through Thursday, Rock & Roll Camp starts at 9:00 each morning, and finishes at 5:00 in the afternoon (for day campers.  Overnight campers’ programs will continue into each evening).  Friday, July 17, the program will run a little later (probably around 8:00 or so), because the students will present the results of their work at a concert.  Of course, the concert is open to the public and students’ families and friends are encouraged to attend.
